Renan Barao vs. Eddie Wineland to main event UFC 161

Bantamweight interim Champion Renan Barao is set to defend his belt against top contender Eddie Wineland at UFC 161, which was announced for Winnepeg, Canada on June 15th. The official news came from ESPN's Brett Okamoto on Twitter:

Just confirmed with Dana White, Renan Barao vs. Eddie Wineland booked to headline UFC 161 in June.

The event will mark the first time the UFC has visited Winnepeg, but it has staged several hugely successful events in Canada. This will be the second time Renan Barao will have defended his interm title, recently defeating top contender Michael McDonald. Wineland is on a 2-fight win streak, most recently defeating Brad Pickett by decision and knocking out perennial contender Scott Jorgenson before that.

Not overly surprised Wineland looked to be next in line after beating Pickett

Chavez about Haugen "I really hate him bad. When he looks at me, I want to vomit. I am going to give him the worst beating of his life; I am going to make him swallow the words that came out of his dirty mouth."After the fight "Now you know I don't fight with taxi drivers" and a bloodied Haugen sportingly responded, "They must have been tough taxi drivers."
