Ricky Burns' world title unification fight with Miguel Vazquez, which was set for March 16 at Wembley Arena, has been called OFF according to the Scottish Sun
Ricky was apparently given the news last night by promoter Frank Warren that the fight is off. Manager Alex Morrison said: “While there is talk of it being rescheduled within 30 days, Ricky and I are very unhappy.”
It’s the second time in three months Burns has been left high and dry.
A December defence was KO’d days before he was due to face Jose Ocampo after original opponent Liam Walsh was hurt in a car crash.
No details are available as to whether the Wembley show will go ahead.

2013 is the worst year I've ever seen for fights getting cancelled, whether its for business reasons or injuries or other assorted bullshit.
Warren Promotions.
I'm deadly serious.

If Hearn can take over the television aspect, too, I'm all for it. Warren seems like a British Bob Arum.

Glad to see Warren go. It appears as if he was the main guy holding Burns and his others fighters back all this time.

Fuckin hell.
Burns should've signed with Hearn.

What an insult to the Bobfather. England would be lucky to have their own Bob. Arum's resume since 2008 absolutely destroys Golden Boy's.
Cotto vs. Margarito I & II
Pacquiao vs. Marquez IV (V on the way)
Rios vs. Alvarado I (II on the way)
Martinez vs. Chavez Jr. I (II probably coming)
Salido vs. Lopez I & II
Donaire vs. Rigondeaux
No promoter in the world has put together half as many fights that fans have clamored for.
