Former undisputed Featherweight champion 'Prince' Naseem Hamed has spoke about the fight game, what he thinks about the sport now and who he likes to watch - during a chat with TalkSport.
"I'm gonna be honest and i'm not trying to brag or anything like that but I just took it to a standard that cant really be reached. I mean, I dont see that level of entertainment. It wasn't even just about the entertainment aspect, it was about the explosiveness, the ferociousness, the shots that would take guys out. I wanted to knock them out where they stand," said the still cocky Prince.
Hamed who is rarely seen at boxing shows these days insists he still loves the game but there's only a few fighters who get him excited.
"I love watching Floyd Mayweather. Sometimes it can get a little bit tedious knowing that he's gonna just do his thing and just out-class them and out-shine them in every single way. I'd love it if he was a bit more devastating in his punching but the fact is how do you beat a fighter that dont get hit? I like watching Floyd, I do like watching Manny, there's also a young kid who you well know is fighting at the moment called Broner and I like his confidence. I like guys who have confidence and can back it up with the style," continued, Hamed.
Hamed retired in 2002 with 36 wins (31KOs) with only 1 defeat. He was the undisputed Featherweight champion beating all 4 world champions during his reign.
