Eddie Hearn, the promoter of undefeated British fighter Kell Brook has responded via Twitter to Mayweather's claim that the IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander could be Floyd's next opponent. Alexander had recently pulled out of a fight with Brook who was his mandatory challenger, due to injury.
"Number 1 we have a signed contract to fight Devon Alexander for the IBF Title. Number 2 If they want Alexander v Mayweather to be a unification they would have to ask for an exemption from the IBF which is very unlikely given we already have signed contracts AND any exemption would have to take place within 90 days of last bout. We questioned the injury and now we await news from Golden Boy which, given the news that they are looking to enter the UK promoting market should be interesting. We will fight tooth and nail for Kelvin Brook and thanks for your support. More news soon.."
And they said boxing was corrupt back in the 50's![]()
Go Eddie!!!!! But I find the comment about Golden Boy entering the UK promoting market interesting, I think if Golden Boy screm them over, he's going to do his best to screw them in the UK
"Kelvin Brook"
