Warren Wins Cleverly/Krasniqi Purse Bid

A purse bid was held today in Budapest, Hungry for the mandatory defense of WBO light heavyweight Nathan Cleverly against Robin Krasniqi. The winning bid was $500,000 presented by Dean Powell from Frank Warren Promotions (Cleverly’s promoter). Ulf Steinforth of SES Boxing (Krasniqi’s promoter) submitted a bid of $431,650. The bout will take place March 16 in either London, Liverpool or Cardiff. Istvan “Koko” Kovacs. WBO Executive Committee Vice President for Europe, presided.
